'Waterfall'
(Glass mobile created with hand-made glass tiles ‘Fimo' beads and shapes)

'Waterfall' was commissioned by Falcon House (New Childrens Mental Health Day Unit), St James Hospital, Portsmouth City Primary Care Trust.

This hanging mobile is a very special piece. It is made up of students' art work from the Harbour School, Tipner, Portsmouth. Most of the children who participated are also patients at Falcon House.

Many of the children hadn't used glass before to create art and they enjoyed decorating the glass tiles very individually!

They also created the colourful beads and hanging shapes. The theme for the piece was based around nature or being outside somewhere special. As you can see the piece is colourful and fun.

See if you can count all the tiles and work out what the children chose to decorate their tiles?

The artist Rebecca Cresswell would like to thank all the students and staff at the Harbour School who participated within the workshops to create this lovely piece.
